- At ECB, we connect women together who believe that through their experience, time and love to others. We can make an extra impact and touch lives.
- Others may experience God's love through our love.

Objectives :

- Pray together for the different ministries and their needs.
- Connect women with selected organizations needing volunteers.

1. Baan Sang Tawan -. Sang Tawan Children's Home -
3/710 Panhonyontin Soi 48, Bangkhen.

Update on Home -1st May 07

Come May 17th, most of the children at the home will be attending proper school   in view of God's grace and blessings in the form of Bht200,000, which was raised  through  a tennis tournament by ISB school this year. As such our future visitation to
the Home will only be on the occassional thursday mornings (to give support to Khun   Tat and the 3 remaining younger kids at home in the morning) and the occassional  saturday when all the kids are at home.

Also on 10th May, there will be a 'Before School Re-opens' Party at the Home for the   kids from 9.30am to 12noon. Do join us in reaching out to these abandoned and orphaned children to share God's love and give them the encouragement and love as
they ursher into a New School Year!

Currently our ECB ladies have established a small Montessori-style school system for the six    toddlers under the age of 6 years. The system entails teaching the toddlers English, singing and  not ruling out playing, for and with the toddlers. Visitation is on every Thursday for one and a half   hours( excluding travelling time). We usually meet at 9am and am done by 11.30am. We are in  need of one helper who is able to assist on a regular basis our current"teacher" and also anyone
who can stand in as a substitute should the "teacher" be travelling or
can't be present for whatsoever reason. Also anybody interested in visiting on any of the Thursdays, do let me know
and I shall make the necessary arrangements.

Also on the table, the home needs someone to go in on Saturdays to teach the older (7 -14 year olds) kids English or any musical instrument. Interested?

2. International Detention Centre - Soi Suan Plu

Another of our outreach project includes befriending detainees at the
Immigration Detention Centre, running small errands (optional)for them, sharing the word and praying with and for them. Most of the detainees stay here are temporary as they are awaiting deportation back to
their home countries and their only crime is overstaying without the
proper papers! if you are interested  kindly let me know and I shall connect you to the right person to start you off on this outreach!

3. Prison Ministry - Klong Prem Prison

If you have a heart to teach the Word and am able to spare a Monday morning each month,  then this may be what you are looking for. The inmates are all ladies, most of whom are on drug charges and who need to be rooted in the Word ans strengthened in their faith.

Written and spoken Thai are not necessary, only a willing heart is all we are asking!

4. Home/Sick Visitation

If anyone is interested to visit and befriend Christine(Malaysian-Indian) who's down with Parkinson(advanced) at her home in Bangna, on a (say) once-a-month basis, just to uplift her in prayer, sing praise, read the bible to and talk to her( unfortunately she's unable to respond back in conversation), kindly contact me asap. Transportation will be arranged for you at some arranged pick-up point in the city for the return journey.

Also on the list of home visitation, is a former member of ECB, Jan, also down with Parkinson.

Word from Jenny Siew
"I do thank those ladies who have been visiting her last year, and I do hope with this blessed New Year, the Lord will put in our hearts to bring the church to some of these homebound ladies. Kindly contact me if you are able to avail your time so I can make the necessary arrangements. "

If you are interested in any of the outreach projects above, kindly contact Jenny Siew either by e-mail or on mobile. The number is 01 8148747 and it'll be my pleasure to start you off "hands on" on our WD Outreach Projects. As for the Christmas Events kindly inform me one week before event date and especially for prison visitations we need to register ahead with the prison authorities.
